What is the maximum temperature for a pressure transmitter?
Since the signal of the pressure transmitter is partially converted through the electronic circuit, in general, the measurement medium temperature of the pressure transmitter is -30~+100℃.
How do you measure pressure at high temperature?
If the temperature is too high, we need to take various methods to cool it. for example:
1. High temperature filling liquid.
When silicone oil M5 is used as the filling fluid, the allowable medium temperature is -60~+80℃.
When high-temperature silicone oil M50 is used as the filling fluid, the allowable medium temperature is -40~+150℃.
When high-temperature oil is used as the filling fluid, the allowable medium temperature is -10~+200℃.
Edible oil complies with FDA regulations. When used as a filling fluid, the allowed medium temperature is -20~+160℃.
2. Add cooling components.
By incorporating mechanical cooling components to dissipate heat, the temperature near the pressure transmitter can be effectively reduced. The cooling element can be filled with oil and isolated from the process medium by an isolation diaphragm.
There are many models of cooling elements, such as fin type, mesh type, spring type, and cold water circulation type.
According to different measurement media, temperature, pressure range, and ambient temperature, we can choose different configurations to meet the measurement of high temperature pressure.
3. Remote sealing diaphragm.
Remote seals can also be used to measure higher temperatures. When the filling liquid in the capillary is high-temperature silicone oil, remote sealing is used, and the maximum medium temperature can reach 400 degrees.
