Real Time Online Solid Powder Flowmeter Description

The powder flowmeter uses the most reliable electrostatic measurement technology. When the airflow containing dust particles in the pipeline passes through a fixed sensor, the weak current generated by the dust particles in motion is collected by the sensor and transmitted to the transmitter. After being filtered and amplified by the transmitter, it is processed into a standard output value that is linearly related to the dust flow.

The powder flowmeter is integrated and has a two-wire structure. It makes installation and use extremely simple. It can be easily connected to the user’s automation management system. Real-time monitoring of the working conditions of its upstream equipment can play a role in the energy-saving and efficiency-enhancing process implemented by the enterprise.

Recovery of powdered materials, monitoring of powder transportation process

Take coal injection in ironmaking blast furnaces and coal injection in power generation boilers as examples. Blast furnace coal injection and power station boiler coal injection are to dry and grind the raw coal (anthracite, bituminous coal), collect it through bag dust collectors, make it enter the coal powder bin, enter the injection tank for mixing, and transport it with compressed air (or nitrogen). It is sent from the injection tank to the distributor. It is directly sprayed into the furnace from each coal injection gun through the distributor.

The powder flow meter is installed on the pipelines of each coal injection gun after the distributor, and can monitor the transportation status of the gas-solid two-phase fluid in each coal injection pipeline at any time, and calculate the total transportation amount. It can also alarm the blockage of each coal injection pipeline.

Alarm Setting

The powder flowmeter is set in the PLC or other recordable system. The output signal 4-20mA is converted into a visible and readable value (such as mg/m³). The conversion method is as follows: Taking the range of 0-100Kg/h as an example, 4mA corresponds to 0Kg/h, and 20mA corresponds to 100Kg/h.

Set the powder blockage flow value in the control system (generally set to 2% of the full scale). When the flow is lower than this value, an alarm will be triggered. Due to the different precision of the equipment and the different usage requirements of each factory, corresponding adjustments can also be made according to the actual situation. And time delay processing is performed to avoid false alarms.
