What is a melt pressure transducer?
The high-temperature melt pressure transducer is an electronic device that can convert physical quantities (pressure) into electrical signals (current, voltage or opening, IO-LINK, HART). The melt pressure transmitter is a pressure/temperature sensing and sensing element that can detect pressures up to 538°C in high temperature environments.
High temperature melt pressure transmitters are based on two main construction technologies (i.e. extended or completely non-liquid silicon). Four different structures are available: rigid rod, flexible sheath, flexible thermocouple, and exposed capillary tube.
