Doppler Flow Meter- Clamp On

Doppler ultrasonic flow meter is designed for measuring the flow of liquid and slurry containing certain solid impurities and bubbles in closed pipes. The sensor is installed outside the pipe and does not contact the fluid. Therefore, it is not affected by pipe dirt and blockage. It does not require flow cutoff for installation and maintenance. Due to the characteristics of the broken pipe, it is quick to install and easy to verify, and maintain.

Introduction of Doppler Flow Meter- Clamp On

Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter-Clamp-On is designed for measuring the flow of liquids and slurries containing certain solid impurities and bubbles in closed pipes. The sensor is installed outside the pipe and does not contact the fluid. Therefore, it is not affected by pipe dirt and blockage, and does not require a flow cutoff during installation and maintenance. It is quick to install and easy to verify and maintain.

The doppler ultrasonic flowmeter uses the Doppler effect of sound waves propagating in the fluid. By measuring the Doppler frequency shift of sound waves scattered by moving particles in the fluid, the velocity of the fluid can be obtained. Combined with the built-in pressure water level meter, the velocity area method can be used to measure the flow of the liquid. It is suitable for flow velocity and flow measurement in open channels, rivers and difficult-to-build standard sections, as well as flow velocity and flow measurement in various full and non-full pipe open channels.

Working Principle of Doppler Flow Meter- Clamp On

The flow velocity measurement of the Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter is based on the Doppler effect. The probe emits a beam of ultrasonic waves obliquely upward. The ultrasonic wave propagates in the fluid. The fluid will contain impurities such as bubbles or particles (it can be considered that the impurities in the fluid are consistent with the speed of the water flow). When the ultrasonic wave contacts the impurities in the fluid, the reflected ultrasonic wave will produce a Doppler frequency shift △f; the Doppler frequency shift is proportional to the flow velocity.
