Universal Ceramic Pressure Transmitter Description

‌Ceramic pressure sensor‌ is a new type of strain gauge pressure sensor developed by using the piezoresistive effect and force-sensitive effect of thick film resistors. Through laser calibration, the sensor has high temperature stability and time stability. The sensor has built-in temperature compensation of 0-65°C and can be in direct contact with most media. The ceramic pressure sensor is mainly composed of three parts: ceramic ring, ceramic diaphragm and ceramic cover.

Working Principles of Ceramic Pressure Sensors

There are two main working principles of ceramic pressure sensors: the piezoelectric effect and the capacitive effect.

  1. Piezoelectric effect:

The piezoelectric effect refers to the fact that some materials generate an electric charge when subjected to mechanical stress. These materials are called piezoelectric materials. Ceramic is a common piezoelectric material. When pressure acts on a ceramic sensor, the ceramic material inside the sensor deforms slightly, resulting in a redistribution of charge. By detecting these charge changes, the pressure applied by the outside world can be accurately measured. This type of sensor has the characteristics of fast response and high sensitivity.

  1. Capacitive effect

Ceramic pressure sensors based on the capacitance effect principle use the dielectric properties of ceramic materials to measure pressure. The sensor is usually composed of a fixed electrode and a movable electrode, and a capacitor is formed between the two. When external pressure acts on the movable electrode, the distance between the electrodes changes, thereby changing the capacitance value. By detecting the change in capacitance value, the applied pressure can be calculated. This type of sensor has a simple structure and has high accuracy and stability.Ceramics-Pressure-Transmitter
