Magnetostrictive Level Transmitter Working Principle
The basic principle of the magnetostrictive liquid level transmitter is the magnetostrictive principle.
The specific working principle is as follows:
A fine magnetostrictive wire is installed in a non-magnetic sensor tube, and a piezomagnetic sensor is connected to one end of the magnetostrictive wire. The piezomagnetic sensor sends 10 current pulse signals to the magnetostrictive wire every second and times it. The current pulse is transmitted downward along the magnetostrictive wire to generate a downward-moving annular magnetic field. The annular magnetic field interacts with the magnetic field of the magnetic float to generate a torsional stress wave on the magnetostrictive wire.
This torsional stress wave is transmitted from the position of the float to the upper and lower ends along the magnetostrictive wire at a known speed until the piezomagnetic sensor receives the torsional stress wave signal. The time interval between the starting current pulse wave and the return torsional stress wave can be known through the timing circuit. The position of the float can be determined according to the time interval. Since the float always floats on the liquid surface, the position of the liquid surface can be accurately determined.
Maintenance of Magnetostrictive Level Transmitter
- Prevent impact and vibration. The transmitter should avoid the direct influence of the sun and rain as much as possible.
- Instruments that are correctly installed and in a good environment. There is no special maintenance is required except daily surface maintenance.
- The measured medium contains impurities or sticky substances. It is recommended to install a filter device or clean the float frequently to prevent the float from getting stuck.
- When disassembling and installing the float, pay special attention to the direction of the float. If it is installed in reverse, the instrument will not work properly.
- The surface of the display should be cleaned regularly. So, prevent excessive dirt or dust from accumulating on the surface and affecting the normal display of the instrument.
- The wearing parts of the instrument, which have been used for a long time, should be replaced in time during the overhaul.
- The user should frequently check the corrosion of the instrument. According to factors such as the temperature, flow rate and corrosiveness of the medium. Replace the wearing parts regularly.
- Instruments equipped with a filter. The cleaning cycle of the filter should be arranged by the user according to the cleanliness of the medium in the container.
- Explosion-proof instruments, their grounding reliability and explosion-proof performance should also be checked regularly.
Magnetostrictive level transmitter measures the oil-gas-water three-phase interface.
The working principle of the magnetostrictive level transmitter is to use the magnetostrictive effect of magnetic materials. The phenomenon is that the length of the magnetic material changes under the action of the magnetic field. Thereby realizing the liquid level measurement. According to the different densities of the medium, the magnetostrictive level transmitter can be configured with two floats. So that various well depths and the position of the oil-gas-water three-phase interface can be measured. It is widely used in oil fields, natural gas fields, water wells and other fields.
In oil exploration, when you measure the oil-gas-water three-phase interface. Personnel are usually required to enter the well for manual measurement. The poses great safety risks and operational difficulties. The use of a magnetostrictive level Transmitter can realize remote telemetry and automatic control. There is no need for personnel to enter dangerous areas, greatly reducing operational risks.
In sewage treatment plants, it is often necessary to measure the liquid level in different treatment tanks in order to perform corresponding treatment operations. Using magnetostrictive level gauges can achieve accurate liquid level measurement, thereby improving the efficiency and quality of sewage treatment.
Magnetostrictive level transmitter is a liquid level measurement tool with high accuracy, stability, reliability, simple operation and strong adaptability. It can be widely used in oil and gas exploration, water treatment, environmental monitoring and other fields. It provides more reliable technical support for the production and management of related industries.
