Low-Cost Radar Level Sensor Description

Sino-Inst’s Low-Cost Radar Level Sensor has a brand-new appearance and sensor design, which is highly waterproof and sun-proof. It can resist the interference waveform caused by various interferences (such as stirring, foam, floating objects, volatilization) and other designs.

The circuit design uses high-quality power modules from the power supply part. The components are imported with high stability and reliability, which can completely replace the same type of instruments.

The patented acoustic wave intelligent technology software can perform intelligent echo analysis. No debugging or other special steps are required. This technology has the functions of dynamic thinking and dynamic analysis.

Our patented acoustic wave intelligent technology greatly improves the accuracy of the instrument, and the liquid level accuracy reaches 0.25%.

The Low-Cost Radar Level Sensor is a non-contact instrument. It does not come into direct contact with the liquid, so the failure rate is low. The instrument provides a variety of installation methods, and the user can completely calibrate the instrument through the manual.

All output and input lines of the instrument have lightning protection and short-circuit protection functions.

What Is the Difference Between Ultrasonic and Radar Level Sensor?

Ultrasonic Level Sensor and Radar Level Sensor are both important non-contact level sensors.

Radar sensors and ultrasonic sensors are both devices that use the principle of wave reflection to measure distance or speed. But there are also some significant differences between them. They are suitable for different application scenarios.

1. Different types of waves

Radar sensors emit electromagnetic waves. No propagation medium is required.

Ultrasonic sensors emit sound waves, which are mechanical waves. A medium is required to propagate.

This means that radar sensors can work in vacuum or air. Ultrasonic sensors can only work in solids, liquids or gases.

2. Different wave frequencies

The frequency of radar sensors is generally between 10GHz and 200GHz, which belongs to the millimeter wave band.
The frequency of ultrasonic sensors is generally between 20kHz and 200kHz, which belongs to the audio range.

This means that radar sensors can emit shorter wavelengths. Ultrasonic sensors can emit longer wavelengths.

3. Different application scenarios

Ultrasonic Level Sensor is more suitable for normal pressure containers and environments where temperature and pressure changes little. In some special working conditions, such as vacuum, high steam content or foam on the liquid surface, its application is limited.

Radar Level Sensor is not affected by vacuum because it uses electromagnetic waves. It has a wider range of application for medium temperature and pressure. Therefore, it is more suitable for these special working conditions.

4. Different accuracy

In terms of accuracy, Radar Level Sensor usually has higher accuracy. It can accurately analyze the echo of the level even in complex working conditions.

Although Ultrasonic Level Sensor can provide accurate measurement in most cases. However, its accuracy may be affected under certain special conditions.

5. Different price

From a price perspective, radar level meters are usually more expensive than ultrasonic level meters.
